All Hunt Country Fall Classic (HCFC) matches will be played in accordance with the current Laws of the Game, as approved by the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), with modifications as set forth below:
Law 1 - The Field of Play
Field Markings
Field Markings will be in accordance with the HCFC approved Field of Play.
Dimensions
Dimensions will be in accordance with the HCFC approved Field of Play.
The Goal Area
The Goal Area will be in accordance with the HCFC approved Field of Play.
The Penalty Area
The Penalty Area will be in accordance with the HCFC approved Field of Play.
Goals
Goals will be in accordance with the HCFC approved Field of Play.
The Field of Play
The Field of Play will be in accordance with the HCFC approved Field of Play.
Law 2 - The Ball
Qualities and Measurements
Size 4
Replacement of a Missing Ball
If the tornament-provided ball is missing at the scheduled kick-off time of a match, the home team (i.e., the team listed first on the match schedule) must provide up to three game balls as determined by the referee.
Law 3 - The Number of Players
Number of Players
A match is played by two teams, each consisting of not more than eight players, one of whom is the goalkeeper.
A match may not start if either team consists of fewer than five players.
The match will be abandoned under all other circumstances; the team with an inssuficient number of players shall forfeit the match.
Number of Substitutions
An unlimited number of substitutes may be used.
Accumulated Yellow Card Substitution Allowance
A substitute may be made for a player who is sent-off as a result of accumulated yellow cards (i.e., three yellow cards throughout the tournament). This law only applies where the cautioned player is sent-off as a sole result of accumulated yellow cards (i.e., no substitution allowance is made for the player who accumulates three yellow cards a result of receiving two yellow cards during the match).
Law 4 - The Players’ Equipments
Safety
A player must not use footwear with metal cleats as they have been deemed to be dangerous to other players.
Basic Equipment
A player’s jersey must have a distinct number on the back. The numbered jersey worn by a player must match the player’s number as recorded on the team’s official roster.
Colours
When uniform colors are similar, as determined by the referee, the home team (i.e., the team listed first on the match schedule) will change uniforms.
Law 5 - The Referee
Powers and Duties
The Referee may require teams to provide an Assistant Referee.
Law 7 - The Duration of the Match
Periods of Play
The match lasts two equal periods of 30 minutes.
Half-Time Interval
The half-time interval must not exceed 5 minutes.
Overtime Periods of Play
In the event of a tie at the end of the regulation period of play for an elimination round match, the match will be extended by two equal periods of 5 minutes.
Overtime Interval
The overtime interval must not exceed two minutes.
Law 13 - Free Kicks
Position of Free Kick
All opponents must be at least 8 yards from the ball, unless they are on their own goal line between the goal posts.
