ALL TEAMS MUST SUBMIT PAYMENT PRIOR TO THEIR FIRST GAME OR THE GAME WILL BE FORFEIT

TEAM ENTRY FEE: $980. No pay, no play.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
1)  Each team plays every other team once, with each team having a BYE week.
2)  The top 4 teams advance to the semi finals to play for the Fauquier Cup

PLAYER AGE RULE: Teams may have no more than three male players ages 18 through 24 on their roster; each of these players is referred to as a “waiver” player. (e.g. born between 6/3/1992 and 6/3/1998). Each of these players is referred to as a “waiver” player. Team managers may be exempted as waiver players upon approval from FSL commissioner.

GUEST PLAYER RULE: Teams must register all guest players in advance. Guest players may only play as substitutes to a rostered player and do not count towards the roster's player limit. However, the Player Age Rule still applies for a fielded team.

PLAYOFF RULES:
Teams may not use guest players unless approved by the league commissioner for substituing an injured player. All rosters may be checked prior to each game if contested by an opposing team. If tied at the end of regulation, winner will be determined by “Golden Goal” (first goal scored) during two extra 10‐minue periods. If the game is tied beyond the extra periods, the winner will be determined by penalty shootouts in accordance with FIFA association football rules.

Championship team gets to keep the Fauquier cup at a public location of their choice until the following season.

Fauquier Cup Trophy

The Fauquier Cup trophy is a twenty-inch tall piece, metal mounted on an impressive walnut base and on permanent display at Molly’s Irish Pub, Official Sponsor of the Fauquier Soccer League. The base of the trophy has room for eight engraved winner’s plaques; each year’s FSL champion will have the team name added.
In the picture below, the Cup is shown next to a size 5 ball.
